Escitalopram 5 mg Tablets is used in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobia, post-traumatic stress disorder, and Panic disorder.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it.
It work by increasing the levels of a mood-enhancing chemical called serotonin in your brain. It usually takes 4 to 6 weeks for escitalopram to work fully. Escitalopram used to treat depression (major depressive episodes) and anxiety disorders (such as panic disorder with or without agoraphobia which is fear of being in places where help might not be available, social anxiety disorder, generalised anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder).
