Doxylamine 10 mg Pyridoxine Hcl. 10 mg Folic Acid 2.5 mg EC Tablets belongs to the class of medications called ‘anti-emetics’, primarily used to treat nausea (feeling sick) and vomiting (being sick) during pregnancy. Morning sickness (nausea and vomiting during pregnancy) is a common symptom of pregnancy. It usually begins in the 6th week of pregnancy, lasting up to 16 to 18 weeks. However, some pregnant women have it throughout pregnancy. It can lead to electrolyte imbalances and weight loss in pregnant women.
To prevent nausea and vomiting in pregnancy.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it.
Doxylamine 10 mg Pyridoxine Hcl. 10 mg Folic Acid 2.5 mg EC Tablets is an antihistamine which works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (histamine), thereby controlling nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) is a form of vitamin B that possesses anti-nausea properties. Folic acid is also a form of vitamin B, which provides essential nutrients.
