Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
Griseofulvin works by binding to a part of the fungus causing the infection in your body. This stops the fungus from multiplying. This drug also prevents fungus from spreading to new cells. These actions cause the infection to die off. It is thought to inhibit fungal cell mitosis and nuclear acid synthesis. It also binds to and interferes with the function of spindle and cytoplasmic microtubules by binding to alpha and beta tubulin.
