Pregabalin 75 mg Capsules is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. It decreases pain by modulating the calcium channel activity of the nerve cells.

Pregabalin blocks the VGCC and hence decrease glutamate and sensory neuropeptides (substance P and CGRP) release at synapse by decreasing Ca2+ influx. It used to relieve pain caused by nerve damage (neuropathic pain) due to diabetes, shingles (herpes zoster infection), spinal cord injury, or other conditions. It is also used to treat widespread muscle pain and stiffness in people with fibromyalgia.
