Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it.
Azathioprine works on two chemicals, noradrenaline and serotonin, that are found in nerves. When amitriptyline is used to treat nerve pain, it lowers the pain signals to the brain. This helps to reduce the level of pain you experience, which can enable you to get back to your daily activities and have a better quality of life.
