Artemether 80 mg & Lumefantrine 480 mg is used for the treatment of malaria in both children and adults. It contains two medicines, both of which belong to a group of medicines called antimalarials. However, it is not used to prevent malaria or to treat severe/complicated malaria (when the brain, lungs, or kidneys are affected).
Treatment of Malaria
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole.
Artemether and Lumefantrine, which treat malaria. These medicines work by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading.
