Dapagliflozin prevents the kidneys from reabsorbing glucose from the blood| causing more glucose to be excreted in the urine. Also reduces the amount of sodium reabsorbed by the kidneys. Dapagliflozin increases the amount of sodium delivered to the distal tubule.
