It is used to treat skin infections which may appear on the feet (Athlete's foot), in the groin area (jock itch), or between skin folds (sweat rash infected with a yeast infection “thrush”). Fluocinolone belongs to the class of corticosteroids that works by preventing the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching and swelling. On the other hand, Miconazole belongs to the class of antifungals that works by causing holes in the fungal cell membranes thereby killing the fungi.
