Furosemide + Spironolactone is used for Edema. It treats oedema (fluid overload) associated with heart, liver, kidney or lung disease.
- Ascites associated with Liver cirrhosis
- Mild and Moderate Degrees of Essential Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Hyper aldosteronism
- Congestive heart failure
- Excess fluid retention causes edema
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it.
Furosemide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also reduces blood pressure and enables the heart to pump efficiently. Spironolactone is also a diuretic that conserves potassium, thereby balancing its levels in the body.
