LIQUID PARAFFIN+MILK OF MAGNESIA belongs to the group of medicines called laxatives used to treat constipation. It is a combination of two laxatives: milk of magnesia (osmotic laxative) and liquid paraffin (lubricant). Milk of magnesia works by drawing water into the intestine through osmosis, while liquid paraffin has lubricant properties that help retain water and fat in the stools. Together, they make the stool soft and slippery, making it easier to pass.
