Mesalazine 800 mg DR Tablets are an anti-inflammatory medicine used in the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. The delayed-release formulation ensures the drug is delivered directly to the intestines, where it reduces inflammation and maintains remission.
  • Relieves symptoms of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease (abdominal pain, diarrhea, rectal bleeding)
  • Reduces inflammation in the intestines
  • Helps in healing the intestinal lining
  • Maintains long-term remission and prevents flare-ups
  • Improves quality of life for IBD patients
  • Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew, crush, or break as it may affect the delayed release.
  • Usually taken with or after meals to reduce stomach upset.
  • Continue for the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve.
Mesalamine is used to treat and prevent flare-ups of mild to moderately active ulcerative colitis (an inflammatory bowel disease). It works inside the bowels to reduce inflammation and other symptoms of the disease.
