It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. Metoclopramide helps relieve nausea, vomiting, indigestion and heartburn. Metoclopramide can help in relieving morning sickness. However, this is not an approved indication for its use. There are other medicines also available to treat morning sickness.
