Nifedipine + Lidocaine is used in the treatment of anal fissure.

Anal fissure

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless your hands are in the affected area.

Nifedipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). It works in anal fissure by blocking the action of calcium on blood vessels of anus. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain, which decreases pain sensation.
