Rosuvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication that blocks an enzyme required in the body to make cholesterol. It lowers the "bad" cholesterol (LDL), and triglycerides and raises the "good" cholesterol (HDL). Ezetimibe complements this by blocking the absorption of cholesterol in the intestines.
