Tacrolimus 5 mg Capsules is used to treat eczema (atopic dermatitis). It works by suppressing the activity of certain immune cells that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) of the skin. This relieves itching and improves rashes in atopic dermatitis.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it.
Tacrolimus works by calming down this immune response. It may do this by blocking a specific protein called calcineurin, which is involved in the immune response. By blocking the activity of calcineurin, topical tacrolimus helps to reduce inflammation and relieve itching.
